What We Believe and Teach

1. We believe the Bible (excluding the Apocrypha) is the absolute authority for belief and behaviour, and is the inspired Word of God. (1 Corinthians 1:10; 2 Timothy 3:15-16; 2 Peter 1:21)

2. When Adam sinned by voluntarily transgression in the Garden of Eden, all mankind fell with him. Because of this fall, all people are in need of Salvation from the judgment of God. (Gen 3; Romans 3:22-24)

3. We believe that this Salvation is found only in Jesus Christ who was born of a virgin, lived sinlessly, performed many miracles, died for our sins, was raised to life physically, ascended back into heaven where he intercedes for us, and in his second coming to earth. This salvation is by faith , and is a free gift to all who have turned from their sins and received Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord of their lives. (Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:25-26; 1 Peter 2:22; Acts 2:22; 10:38; Romans 8:34; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:1-6)

4. We believe that baptism by full immersion in water must be experienced by all who have received salvation by faith. (Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38-39; 10:47-48)

5. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with the biblical evidence of Speaking in Tongues. This experience is for all who have received salvation by faith. (Acts 2:1-4; 10:44-46; 11:14-16; 19:6)  We also believe that on receiving baptism, spiritual gifts are available and should be sough by every believer (2 Corinthians 12-14)

6. We believe in the ministry gifts, or ascension gifts of Christ, given to the local and global church by Christ. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

7. We believe that the death, resurrection and ascension of Christ brings wholeness to people, and that Divine healing is provided for Christians; that God intends wholeness to be beyond the spiritual and including mental, psychological, emotional and physical aspects of the human personality. (Isaiah 53:4-5; Matthew 8:16-17; James 5:13-16)

8. We believe that is is the responsibility of each Christian to maintain their spiritual health, living holy lives that reflect a continual transformation of character by the power of the Holy Spirit, empowering them to submit to the rule of Scripture, and actively pursue the will of God for their lives. (1Peter 1:14-16; Hebrews 12:14; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 1 John 2:6), with special notice to (1 Corinthians 13)

9. We believe that all who have received salvation by faith should regularly participate in the breaking of bread in their local Church. (Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 11:20-34)

10. We believe in a physical resurrection of all, either to judgement and everlasting conscious punishment in Hell, or everlasting conscious joy for all who have received salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone. (John 5:25-29; 1 Corinthians 15:22-24; Daniel 12:2-3; Matthew 25:46; 2 Thessalonians 1:9; Revelation 20:10-15)
