Wellbeing
We take wellbeing seriously at ECCi and want to ensure that those connected to our church have access to good, professional support.
With this in mind, ECCi formed the Wellbeing Support Team to oversee and advise on mental, emotional and social wellbeing at our church. The team is made up of professionally qualified people who work in the therapeutic field:

Everyone experiences seasons where they need someone to talk to, some extra support, a comforting hand to help us find our way back to peace. At ECCi, we think that mental, emotional and social wellbeing is important and we have invested into two areas to support those who are finding things hard.

Kintsugi Hope Wellbeing Groups

ECCi is a partner church with Kintsugi Hope, a charity based in the UK that is striving to make a difference to peoples mental wellbeing.
'Kintsugi' (金継ぎ) is a Japanese technique for repairing pottery with seams of gold. This repairs the brokenness in a way that makes the object more beautiful, and even more unique than it was prior to being broken.
Kintsugi wellbeing groups are 12 weeks long and cover topics such as; honesty, anxiety, depression, shame, disappointment and loss, perfectionism, forgiveness, self acceptance, healthy relationships and resilience. Kintsugi Wellbeing groups are a form of peer counselling, overseen by a facilitator with the aim of helping us see that there is treasure in our scars.
